Therianthropy

Dream shift occurs when a therianthrope is partially or entirely an animal within a dream. The dream might also include the transformation into an animal. A dream shift can occur in both lucid and non-lucid states. [1] [2]

These shifts usually cover a variety of experiences, and are commonly discussed, as it's how many spiritual (past life) therians may get flashbacks to their past life through these shifts.

Seeing or sensing oneself as an animal during a dream was talked about in the earliest days of the community, with dream shifts appearing in early lists of shifts. [3] Some of the earliest therianthropic discussions by members of Alt.horror.werewolves discussed dream shifts. [4]
