An immersive shift is a shift where a therianthrope feels stronger animalistic sensations and urges than usual. This type of shift is very similar to mental shifts, but can also include factors of phantom shifts, sensory shifts or auditory shifts. But it is important to remember that shifting experiences vary from therian to therian.

Creation[]

This term was created on the 4th of August, 2024, by a therianthrope named Beetle (B33tl3_w0rmz on YouTube). It was created as a way to explain shifts experienced by them and several other therians they are friends with.

The creator of the shift has also added that many immersive shifts can become stronger if a therian tries to prevent or hold back the shift.
