Therianthropy

Everyone struggles. You can't deny that. In the alterhuman communities, common struggles are species dysphoria, identity crises, hate from anti-alterhumans, and more. But when we all get together, alterhumans can form bonds easily. Alterhumans are brought together by their shared interests and personalities. Although it may be hard to find other alterhumans,

We are all running through the forests, creeks, jungles, saharas and safaris, flying through the skies, swimming over the coral reefs and pond stones and digging underground together. We are a community, and that's how wonderful our connections get.

Most alterhumans have autism spectrum disorder (ASD), attention deficit hyperactive disorder (ADHD), dyslexia, dysgraphia, social anxiety, post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD), and more continuing disabilities, most of which are invisible to the naked eye. Because of this, it makes it easier for alterhumans to get together and understand eachother better. Although neurotypical alterhumans do exist, it's necessarily very rare that a neurotypical individual would identify as an alterhuman, and it may be more difficult to connect with people in meet-ups, but alterhumans manage to push their disabilities and abilities aside in order to be able to connect with each other.

As the queen Autumn J. has sang, therian love is extremely unique as well. You can talk with your partner about species dysphoria and struggles you have as an alterhuman without getting backlash for it. Forests or your theriotypes' habitats are perfect for dates as well, and you're in a more safe space with someome you love that you can relate to. As someone who has a supportive partner, it's really funny to hear her asking questions about it as well considering she isn't an alterhuman herself.

And therian relatives are just as wonderful. My sister is questioning an alterhuman identity and whenever she's around, she is ALWAYS asking questions, but it's fun to answer them. The ability to have someone there to support you and relate to you platonically is just as wonderful, especially if you're not the romantic type and don't want a partner or relationship. Practice quadrobics together, make gear for eachother, and so much more.

Though some alterhumans are, unfortunately, toxic, it's nice to see how much our community can positively impact mental health. All over the world, alterhumans can put their paws, claws, hooves and wings together to shape such a wonderful community, all by using their interests and personalities.
